Glass Fibre Cord

Construction
Glass fibre cord is manufactured from air textured filament >E= glass yarns and provide a high volume of entrapped air and consequent good thermal insulation. The basic fibres are lightweight, resilient, incombustible and suitable for operation in application up to 550°C.

Properties
Glass fibre cord is resistant to oils, most chemicals and solvents. Will not rot and is unaffected by bacterial growth.
It is suitable for temperatures up to 550°C and has a medium thermal conductivity.

Contact with live steam to be avoided.

Typical Application: Furnace and boiler door deals, core for tadpole seal.
